Passengers taking the Airport Express to interchange to MTR lines can enjoy free MTR connections. To benefit, use the same Octopus (with sufficient value) to interchange within one hour of arrival between the Airport Express at Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi stations and the interconnecting MTR Line, including Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations (except the Light Rail, MTR Bus and East Rail Line First Class). For passengers taking journeys starting with MTR lines followed by the Airport Express, the journey with the lower fare will be free. Complimentary Airport Express Shuttle Bus Service

The Airport Express Shuttle-bus is a complimentary add-on service provided exclusively for Airport Express (travelling to or from Airport Station) and High Speed Rail passengers. The Shuttle Bus runs between Hong Kong or Kowloon stations and major hotels, as well as railway interchanges.

MTR, Light Rail

MTR operates ten main commuter lines serving Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Among them, the East Rail Line connects to the boundary at Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations for travel between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. In addition, a Light Rail network serves the local communities in the North West New Territories, while a fleet of buses provides convenient feeder services.

Hong Kong’s Light Rail network has been an integral part of daily life in the northwestern New Territories since 1988. As more new towns have been established, the Light Rail network has expanded, too. Also doubles as a feeder service for the MTR at its West Rail Line interchanges at Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai, Siu Hong and Tuen Mun stations.

Bus

There are a total of five companies in Hong Kong providing private franchised (franchised) bus services, and there are nearly 700 bus routes; Hong Kong does not have public bus services, but the government has a considerable degree of regulation on bus companies, including the pricing of bus routes. Hong Kong franchised bus lines have fixed routes, charges, service hours and frequency. Operators are subject to government supervision and are exempted from paying gasoline taxes. Urban routes are mostly run by double-decker buses, which has become one of the characteristics of Hong Kong. Passengers need to pay the fare when boarding the bus, and all franchised buses accept Octopus payment.

Tram

Trams are the oldest vehicles in Hong Kong. It makes a tinkling sound when driving, so we called it “ding ding”. Riding “ding ding” is the most enjoyable way to travel on the Hong Kong Island Line. And by “ding ding” is super easy and cheap. You can travel between Wanchai, Causeway Bay, Central District, Tin Hau, etc. for only $2.6 per trip. Although there are 6 tram lines, there are actually only two directions. You can get on the tram if you know whether you want to go to Kennedy Town or Shau Kei Wan. .

The advertisements all over the body and the large neon light box advertisements at the stations are full of Hong Kong’s iconic. Many movies and MVs used trams for shooting.
